Unlike conventional proportional cylinders, which require separate control electronics, sensors, and complex wiring, the AlphAktor® integrates all components into a compact housing. This eliminates up to 70% of external components and drastically reduces installation effort.
While conventional proportional cylinders are susceptible to dirt, moisture, and vibrations due to their external electronics, the AlphAktor® is fully enclosed. Its integrated design protects all sensitive components from environmental influences and mechanical stress.

The AlphAktor® bridges the gap between a hydraulic cylinder (with directional control valve) and electrohydraulic cylinders (hydraulic cylinders with an electric position-sensing system and control electronics). A selected position is maintained by the integrated mechanical-hydraulic control system without the need for corrective action in the event of external forces. The AlphAktor consists of a differential cylinder, a 3/2-way control valve, and an electromagnet.
The AlphAktor® is a proportional cylinder with integrated position control, meaning it can be moved to any desired position and held there regardless of external forces. It is controlled according to the customer’s requirements using a logic amplifier, the customer’s own control system, or the CAN Command Center developed in-house by AlphaFluid.
The AlphAktor® is available with various piston and piston rod diameters. The stroke length and installation interfaces can be customized to meet specific requirements. However, various standard lengths are also available.
